It is a light, volatile, and flammable motor fuel obtained by distilling and processing crude oil through various processes (cracking, reforming).
Gasoline
It is primarily used in buses, minibuses, motorcycles, and gasoline-powered private cars.
It is also used in some small boat engines, generators, and gasoline-powered equipment (lawn mowers, chainsaws, etc.).
Motorin ( Gas Oil / Diesel )
It is a distillate product with a density between gasoline and fuel oil, used in diesel engines.
• Land Transportation: Trucks, buses, semi-trucks, minibuses, diesel cars, tractors.
• Sea Transportation: In the main and auxiliary engines of small and medium-sized marine vessels (fishing boats, yachts, some ferries).
• Railways: In diesel locomotives.
• Industry and Agriculture: In industrial facilities, generators (diesel generators), irrigation pumps, and agricultural machinery.
• Heating: In some regions (especially rural areas), it is used for heating purposes in central heating boilers. Fuel products are widely used in land and sea transportation, industrial production, agricultural machinery, and generator systems.
The most consumed petroleum product in Turkey is diesel. Gasoline is mainly used in automobiles, while fuel oil is used in marine and heavy industry.
The fuel market in Turkey is regulated in accordance with EPDK regulations, environmental standards, and international fuel quality norms.
